Welcome to Baby Uke School! Baby Uke School is all about giving ukuleles to babies.
This video is of my little daughter, Ruby, at the age of 6 months. She has always accepted ukuleles, like speech, spoons, and spit, as something she is supposed to participate in.
At Baby Uke School we will explore the relationship between babies and ukuleles from many angles. And we'll have a whole lot of fun!
It is commonly accepted that music is beneficial to a person's development. From playing music to babies still in the womb, to practical working approaches like the Suzuki Method, to Classical Music Saturation Experiences (CMSE's) like Baby Bach, many people agree that music makes for smart, happy babies.
Baby Uke School doesn't have a curriculum with levels and an order of doing things, the way the rest of UkeSchool does. It's more like a drop-in center. There are fun things to play to babies on the ukulele, fun things for them to watch, things to read about formal schools of teaching music to the very young, and of course, documentation of our first student's adventures.
